Provides 500 mg of niacin per dose Convenient capsule form to be taken once daily Niacitol® contains inositol nicotinate, a form of niacin (vitamin B3) that has been used in Europe for over 30 years to support healthy nutrient metabolism. Niacitol® is a well-tolerated form of vitamin B3 and is unlikely to cause flushing (redness, warmth, and itching of the skin) or other adverse effects associated with niacin. Inositol nicotinate is composed of one inositol molecule and six niacin molecules. Niacin is a key component involved in almost all aspects of energy metabolism. Its coenzymes (NAD and NADP) are the most important electron carriers in cells and contribute to metabolic processes surrounding the breakdown and utilization of macronutrients. Over 200 metabolic reactions require the presence of niacin, including those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and fatty acid oxidation.
